Essential Moves is a non invasive, drug free method of approaching behavioural problems, reading & learnin difficulties, focusing on movement & neurological development.
Much
research has been done in the past 20 years, into the link between early brain development and the learning & behaviour difficulties many children face. Many people are unaware of the importance & meaning of some early milestones, so very often, for what ever reason, children miss steps in the developmental process, that leads to learning. Unfortunately, in many cases, difficulties aren't discovered until the child's first or second year at school, when they exhibit learning difficulties - reversing letters, problems with reading or behavioural problems - poor concentration or attention, fidgety etc.
Children undertaking the 'Essential Moves Programme', are assessed by observation during fine & gross motor tasks, testing for retained primitive reflexes, from a parent questionnaire (not used for school programmes), auditory processing scans and standardised testing.
When participating in the Essential Moves Programme, children are led through a systematic series of exercises to rewire the brain, plus traditional tutoring, activities to improve tone and fine motor skills and processes to improve lateral thinking and temporal awareness to name a few. Within weeks of starting the programme significant improvements are usually noticed in the children.
